Intended Institution

Films, TV and music are all produced by media institutions, with different institutions favouring a certain area or all 3. For example, ITV produce television programs for their channel, Channel 4 produce TV programs and occasionally films.

We need to decide where our song and video would be played, on what sort of channel and time slot it would be on. We decided that NME TV would be the best suitable channel for our video to played on as it's target audience is similar to ours. They play videos from the mainly indie/rock genre but sometimes branch out to electronic music like dubstep NME TV is a part of the NME organisation, alongside it's magazine, their radio station and websites. NME tend to be involved with catching the latest trends and promoting new artists, but still maintaining interest in existing bands. Existing artists like Muse, Kasabian and Foo Fighters are all promoted regularly in their publications,Two Door Cinema Club is promoted fairly regularly and are currently one of NME's favourite artists where as new and upcoming bands like Viva Brother and Tribes are usually included in the Radar section, which promotes new bands.
